Israeli agri firms visit Turkey

The Aegean Exports Union (EİB) collaborated with the Israel-Turkish Business Council and the Israel Producers Union, to hold a seminar yesterday in the western province of İzmir on "Modern Agricultural Practices in Israel". The seminar comes at a time of renewed political tension between Turkey and Israel, after Turkey recently vetoed Israel's participation in next month's NATO summit.


Turkey’s Ramsey signs sponsorship deal with Liverpool

Trade with TurkeyRamsey, a Turkish clothing company, signed a three-year clothing sponsorship agreement with Britain's Liverpool football club on Tuesday.

Ramsey Executive Board Chairman Hüseyin Doğan and Liverpool Club Finance Director Philip Nash signed the agreement during a ceremony held at Anfield Road Stadium in Liverpool. The agreement will last for three years.


Chinese taste Turkish olives, oil up next

Trade with TurkeyTurkey's olive producer Marmarabirlik has begun exporting olives to China following Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to the country. Marmarabirlik President Hidamet Asa, who was part of the prime minister's entourage, said after visiting several Chinese food producers, they have begun exporting olives to China.


US companies introduced to Turkish incentive scheme

Turkey's new investment incentive scheme is the world's greatest system, and will hopefully lead to an international investment boom, Economy Minister Zafer Çağlayan said yesterday at a New York meeting of the River Club.


Trade survey foresees rise in imports, exports

The Import Expectations Index and the Export Expectations Index both went up for the second quarter of 2012, according to the Foreign Trade Expectations Survey for the quarter released by the Economy Ministry yesterday.
